The 49th Xanth book, Knicklepede Knight, is scheduled for release as an audiobook in May 2026. Hopefully the date will not move again. The book has been proofread and submitted to the publisher, so it is done.
Open Road Media just (January 2026) added the listing for the paper and the ebook editions, so they should release around the same time.

Piers Anthony Dillingham Jacob (born 6 August 1934) is a bestselling American author in the science fiction and fantasy genres, publishing under the name Piers Anthony. His works include the Xanth, Incarnations of Immortality, Bio of a Space Tyrant and Geodyssey series as well as dozens of other novels, novellas and short stories. He lives in Los Angeles where he continues to work on future Xanth novels and follow the development of the Split Infinity TV series based on his Apprentice Adept novels.
